Description
A member of the Airfield Engineering Detachment (AED) working on extending the airfield runway at Tarin Kot. This photograph was taken by Nick Fletcher, Australian War Memorial Senior Curator of Military Heraldry and Technology, as part of the Memorial's Curators in the Field programme. Nick travelled to Afghanistan with the Australian Defence Force in October 2009, together with official war artist Shaun Gladwell.
