Description
51 page bound manuscript. The manuscript examines the origins of the militia units during the Second World War, The enmity between the militia and AIF units, and the motivations and operational performance of the militia battalions. The manuscript also examines the perceptions of the time aiming for the creation of "one army" within the Australian Military Forces. Written by Garth Pratten as part of the Australian War Memorial's Summer Vacation Scholarship Scheme in 1995.
