Section one examines the tactics employed in 1918 and examines how they were develop through the war. Section 2 examines the weapons used by 1918 and how they had been developed and how their employment had been improved: Trench mortars, Heavy tanks, Field artillery and Medium Machine guns are examined in detail. Section three examines the nature of casualties during the First World War, with a focus on the nature of wounds caused and the nature of psychological casualties.
