This print is based on a famous Vietnam War photograph by Associated Press photographer Huónh Công Út, who is known professionally as Nick Út. He was among reporters who had been sent to the small village of Trang Bàng along Route 1, the highway that leads from Saigon towards the Cambodian border. The photograph depicts victims of the South Vietnamese napalm attack on the Trang Bàng village during the Vietnam War. The naked girl running towards the camera is Phan Thi Kim Phúc, who was nine years old at the time the photograph was taken on 8 June 1972. This photograph won a Pulitzer Prize for the photographer Nick Út.
