Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX816 Sergeant John Bryan 'Bryan' Hogan who served with the 2/2 Australian Field Regiment. Consists of a twenty-eight page typed memoir titled 'A Gunners Tale: The memories and diary notes of VX816 Gunner Hogan J. B.'. Describes Sgt Hogan's service in the Second World War from his enlistment in 1939, through to his training in Egypt and service in Tobruk and New Guinea. Also included are five short stories written by Sgt Hogan and previously published in the Victorian "Action Front".
