Description
Spiral bound typed manuscript titled 'Scott's War Memoir' written by NX30406 Private (Pte) James Scott (known as Scott) Cuthbert Dill who served with 2/2 Machine Gun Battalion during the Second World War. The manuscript is 53 pages in length and includes illustrations (copies of photographs and pages from Pte Dill's handwritten diary). The editing and layout of the manuscript was completed by his daughter, Karyl-Ann Walker, in 1999. The existence or whereabouts of Pte Dill's original diary is not known.
