Cross from the grave of Sergeant R S Davies DCM, 17 Battalion AIF
Roughly made wooden cross with a central tin plaque.
This wooden cross was a temporary marker for the grave of Sergeant Reginald Sydney Davies, DCM and Medaille Militaire. He was killed in action at Wiancourt, France on the 3rd of October 1918. Today he is buried in a small war cemetery at Montbrehain in France. The name on the cross has been incorrectly spelt as 'Davis'.
