Description
Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) fire support base at Ben Cat, where soldiers of 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) camped prior to the commencement of operations in the Iron Triangle. The civilians are family of the ARVN soldiers stationed there. The buildings behind the gun emplacement at left are living quarters. The boxes near the Land Rover are ammunition for the 105mm gun to the right and an 81mm Mortar with ammunition in the lower right corner.
