Collection relating to the Second World War service of V316113 Trooper (Tpr) Leslie Clarence Harris, who served as a cook with the 4th Australian Motor Regiment. Comprises an exercise notebook kept by Tpr Harris during 1942-43 to record 94 pages of handwritten notes he made about food preparation, duties of an army cook, use of the Aldershot oven, recipes, and other information related to cooking meals for large numbers of soldiers. Includes an index to the recipes.
