"They want a discharge! They say they have been in Japan too long!"
Description
Cartoon published in the Services Annual 'As you were', Australian War Memorial, 1948, p. 89. Depicts eight Australian soldiers at a mess table eating; two of them sit cross-legged atop the table eating out of a bowl with chopsticks. At the end of the table stands the Warrant Officer informing the Lieutenant that "They want a discharge! They say they have been in Japan too long!".
