Description
A cartoon-figure of an Australian soldier stands with left hand in his coat pocket, rifle slung over his right shoulder and a cigarette in his mouth. He stands on a tall pedestal with a wreath hanging on the front. The sculpture is inscribed, somewhat cryptically 'Design for a monument to be placed alongside Nelson'.
