Silver trophy : International Tug of War, London, December 1918
Description
Sterling silver trophy cup with curved handles. Engraved on the trophy is 'INTERNATIONAL TUG OF WAR/ LONDON/ 26th December 1918./ WON BY/ AUSTRALIA.' The trophy cup bears the 1914 hallmark of Walker & Hall of Sheffield. Under the base of the trophy is the makers mark and the inscription '53865/ WALKER&HALL/ SHEFFIELD/ ENGLAND/ 52'. The number '5750' is impressed in the bottom rim. There are dents in several places around the cup.

Trophy presented by Mr Lionel Robinson to Australia, the winners of the International Tug of War competition held in London on 26 December 1918.
