Mechanics working on the motors of a Kittyhawk, 450 Squadron RAAF
Description
Flight mechanics and riggers have the cowling off a Kittyhawk and are working on the motor. The pilots often took an interest in their own aircraft and helped the ground staff by cleaning the perspex of the cockpit cowlings, generally with Australian Comforts Fund toothpaste!
