The Jeep and the Air Raid Alarm
Description
Through a clump of palm trunks a jeep can be seen on one of the tracks running through the area of Headquarters, New Guinea Force. The air raid alarm is an old petrol drum hung from a cross beam. Various administration huts can be seen, native built constructions of tree trunk framework and palm leaf thatch ('sac sac'). To this, side walls of siselcraft have been added.
