Hanging out the washing
Description
A scene of everyday camp life. A 'batman' hangs out his officer's washing and someone else is cleaning his teeth. A bucket, dish, and washing board are at the base of a palm. The tents are a pale green colour inside and a tarry colour on the outside. In the foreground is the top of a 'pissaphone', a device that simplified camp hygiene.
