Top of Banyan Knoll , Artillery Ridge
Description
The top of the hill bared by shell fire. An unfinished weapon pit is on the right facing the enemy position of a grave. Behind it a Japanese helmet on a stick donates the position of the grave. Someone's personal gear is scattered in the foreground, apparently whilst the owner digs in. The bareness of this hill contrasts strongly with all the surrounding hills which are heavily forested.
