Description
A Shipwright at work on the stern of an 85' wooden cargo vessel being built at Hayes and Sons boat building yard at Careening Cove, around Milson's Point, North Sydney, N.S.W. The finished shape of the vessel is indicated at this stage by the insertion of temporary frames. Hayes and Sons was a small wartime yard building 85' sea-going vessels for the Australian Army.
