Japanese corpses
Description
The bodies of two Japanese who were of a party who, after eluding capture for ten days after the landing on Labuan, formed up under a Japanese Colonel and made a desperate march into the town with the intention of doing as much damage as possible. Several of our men were killed and a building in the centre of the town set on fire before they were killed by machine gun fire in the light of flames, by Americans. Next morning the streets of Labuan were littered with enemy dead.
