Forestry group, Changi: lopping
Description
A member of the Forestry Unit lopping branches of rubber trees for firewood. This unit was one of the first established by the prisoners upon their captivity. Wood was a necessity for cooking their rations and to also build equipment and accommodation around their camp. While a prisoner, Griffin occupied his time by recording the everyday going ons of the camp.
