Description
The subject of this head study, Yataro Iwata, a Japanese Naval civilian was captured by 2/16th Australian Infantry Battalion on Malang feature during the second day's fighting at Balikpapan. This drawing was made by the aritst in the POW compound shortly after he was captured.
