Bridge, M S Bardistan (Captain William Ellis)
Description
Showing a portion of the bridge of M.S Bardistan during an air alert. The Captain of this ship, Captain William Ellis is signalling with an Aldis lamp to another ship, while the Oerlikon gun's crew stand-to in the background. Before the present run from Australia to India, "Bardistan" did convoy work from the United Kingdom to the Persian Gulf delivering tanks to Russia.
