Depicts the arrival of the British Army Troops at the Government Camp, Ballarat. Samuel Douglas Huyghe was in Ballarat at the time of Eureka uprising and made many sketches. This work was originally a sketch and was published as a lithograph by F.W. Niven, then Huyghe's sketches were used to illustrate the 'History of Ballarat from the first pastoral settlement to the present time' by William Bramwell Withers, Ballarat Star, 1870. This work is from the Withers history book.
