Description
Depicts a portrait of N734502 2nd Lieutenant Mildred A Mobley, US Army nurse United States Army, 30th Evacuation Hospital. When the 6th Australian Division arrived at its new location at Aitape, the 30th US Evacuation Hospital made its facilities available to the Australian forces until our hospitals could be established. Here the Division's first battle casualties were treated in addition to many patients suffering with a variety of complaints, Aitape, New Guinea.
