Description
Vice-Admiral Baron Tomoshige Samejima, Commander-in-chief, Japanese Navy, Northern Solomons, travelling on one of the remaining remnants of Japanese sea power from Kahili to Sarnauso Island in the Fauro Group. Two similar barges carried about 17 Generals including Lieutenant-General kanda, Commanding all Japanese Forces on Bougainville.
