The Soudan
Description
Depicting Lord Worseley, Commander-in-Chief, bidding farewell to the Australian Infantry at Souakim. Painted from a sketch by Mr. Walter Paget, Special Artist for the Illustrated London News and published in the aforementioned Journal of 11th July 1885. Painted for inclusion in the 1946 AWM Christmas Book but not used, Melbourne, 1946.
