Description

Liberators are now flown by Royal Australian Air Force crews on bombing runs to Truk etc. This aircraft met fighter opposition on the way back from the target; the undercarriage was damaged by enemy fire and it made a crush landing after limping home with a motor shot out, Port Moresby, New Guinea.
