Description

Smashed girders once formed part of the hangers on this Italian built drome. Framed by the wreckage is the broken skeleton of a British Gladiator left during the withdrawal from Libya earlier in the year. The propellor blades (wood) appear to have been sawn off, possibly as souvenirs. Parked in each of the three hangers were German ambulances, the buildings prominently marked with the Red Cross and flying that flag. A squadron is setting out on another raid 'further west', El Adem.
