Morphia (Private Percy Asher; Private William Spozetta and Corporal Roy Rodgers)
Description
Depicts Private Percy Ashe, QX58584, giving Private William Spozetta, NX203630, an injection of morphia after Pte Spozetta was wounded. In the background is the scout Corporal Roy Rodgers, NX67255, all three soldiers are of the 2/33rd Australian Infantry Battalion. Private Ashe is wearing a pistol in holster, and Private Spozetta is on a stretcher, with his discarded equipment, shoes, kit, rifle, beside him. Private Spozetta died on 3 July 1945 at the age of 19.
