Description
Depicts a drawing of A3 cell 23, Changi POW camp. Cpl Richard John Cochran, NX57309, 2/12th Field Coy, Royal Australian Engineers, 27th Brigade-8th Division, was a POW in Malaya during the Second World War. The artist's sketches are from factual scenes; the areas sketched; Selarang, Roberts Hospital Barracks, Havelock Road, Native Malayan people and village scenes and Thai-Burma Railway. All sketches are of areas where on 'working parties' rough notes and sketches were made for later use.
