Description

The time is 1941-2. This is a general view of Darwin Harbour, prior to attacks by the Japanese. The artist has depicted a variety of craft, ranging from merchant vessels, to a warship, and barge. A floating dock is also evident. The busy harbour contrasts with the foreground image of a deserted beach, fringed with trees.
