Description
German soldiers massacre the population of a village which they have burnt down. This work was published on the first anniversary of the beginning of the war. This work was published in 'L'Opinion', 7 August 1915, p. 88-9 (37A). There is a drawing of this subject in a private collection (37B). it was included in 'De la Marne au Rhin I', 1(37E).
