Paris-Plage from the 'Bull ring', Etaples

Used as an Australian base in 1917 the 'Bull ring' at Etaples is shown in the foreground. Five sailboats are visible on the bay and in the distance, the outline of town buildings is visible. Major Edwin Summerhayes, originally an architect in Perth, Western Australia, served with the 44th Battalion on the Western Front.
