Issuing rations
Description
Troop orderlies are issuing rations of bully beef, biscuits, tea, sugar and salt to the section orderlies, Beersheba, 1930. This is eighth in a series of eight paintings accompanying the Palestine dioramas. The series illustrates the Egyptian Labour Corps and the Camel Transport Corps transporting supplies (food, water, clothing and medical supplies) from Deir el Belah on the Mediterranean coast of Palestine through the desert to the troops in battle.
