Members of the band welcome veterans
Description
Depicts sketches of three Turkish men dressed in traditional clothing. The men were members of a band that was used to welcome the veterans of the Gallipoli landing of 1915. The figure on the left is dressed in a chain mail uniform that was used by personal bodyguards. Pugh was appointed official war artist for the 75th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landing at Anzac Cove in 1990.
