Description

The Ribemont gas school and the defensive measures adopted against hostile gas attacks. Many gas schools were set up so that NCO and Officers could be shown the proper means of defence against gas attacks which consisted of proper gas mask drills, such as care of equipment, testing for gas when attacks come. Alarm systems clearing trenches of gas and the use of gas proof dug-outs for gas casualties.
