Christmas, 1940
Description
This film is made up of a number of fill-in shots. Scenes 1, 2, 5, at Deir Suneid (November 1940); the 2/1st Pioneer Battalion Band provides marching rhythm as the 19 Australian Infantry Training Battalion marches through the village. Scenes 3 and 4 Christmas pudding and cooks G Oakley and Dice Weston. Scene 6, Matron Sage of the 2nd Australian General Hospital (AGH) at Gaza Ridge sends message from her girls to Australia.
