Singapore medical training
Description
Under the direction of Mrs C G Howell, Lady Superintendent of the Medical Service, Technical Section, at Singapore, voluntary workers create realistic artificial wounds, which are strapped to 'victims' for demonstration purposes to accustom ARP workers to sights and conditions that may have to be met during an air raid. Mrs Howell, an Australian, is the wife of the Attorney General Honorable C G Howell. Film shows practical demonstration of a 'victim' with head wound and shattered arm. Dr Hopkin, OC Medical Auxiliary Service at Singapore, examines the patient watched by ARP members.
