Transport Command RAAF
Description
In addition to actual RAAF Squadrons, there were a large number of Australians serving in RAF units. Among these was Transport Command. Shows Douglas C-47 Dakota transports taking off from an airfield in England with vital supplies for the front line in Europe; unloading in Europe and wounded being transferred from ambulance to aircraft for transport back to England; unloading wounded from aircraft into ambulance in England. Some of the aircraft in Transport Command have Australian crews or crew members. Flt/Sgt Terry Bouke, Flt/Sgt Duncan Martin, Flt/Sgt Bruce Picker and W/O Rupert Adams RAAF are identified.
