Lieutenant-General Ernest Ker Squires the newly appointed Inspector General of the Australian Forces accompanied by Defence Minister Thorby inspects the new battery of 9.2" guns at Sydney Heads. The first discharge was fired by remote control by Defence Minister Thorby.
