Tests on air raid surface shelters
Description
Shelter tests carried out by the R & E Department Ministry of Home Security. Shows the method of strengthening surface shelters and reinforced concrete shelter. Six shelters were built on a concrete foundation with the nearest corners at 15 ft from a German 250kg bomb buried at 12 feet 6 inches.
