Royal Australian fighter squadron in Korean action
Description
Members of No 77 (Fighter) Squadron RAAF leave their tent bivouac for morning tea. The men read mail and then work loading rockets and bombs on United States made P-51 fighters. The flight leader explains tactics with hands and the planes turn up. The pilots enter the cockpits and they taxi out and take off. Aerial formation is shown. They are shown landing and taxiing in following mission with close-ups of planes and pilot. At their canteen the pilots enjoy a beer while mulling over day's operations. (Transcribed from Pentagon Newsreel release No. 277-51 4 September 1951.)
