Damp Tablelands
Description
During the past two weeks the Atherton Tablelands have been experiencing very heavy rains that have flooded the low lying areas and increased the transport difficulties on the Tablelands. A landslide on the Kuranda range in Cairns district has dislocated traffic between Cairns and Marreba. Men worked on 4 February 1945 removing large quanities of earth and stone which had fallen between Stoney Creek and Barron Falls.
