Logistic support in Vietnam. DPR/TV/277
Behind every operation mounted by Australian troops in Vietnam is a group of soldiers performing the background role of logistic support. This group of 130 men comprise the 1st Australian Army Logistic Support Company. Their stores cater for ordance, engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers, dental and medical. The Australian troops arrived in American buses escorted by American armed jeeps; the troops move into camp and carry on with their logistic duties as well as providing their own perimeter defence.
