GALLIPOLI PENINSULA, TURKEY, 1915-05-24. TURKISH AND AUSTRALIAN SOLDIERS RECOVER AND BURY THE BODIES OF THEIR DEAD COMRADES KILLED DURING THE TURKS ATTACK ON ANZAC POSITIONS ON THE 19-05-19. THE TURKS LEFT OVER 3,000 KILLED DURING THE ATTACK, THE STENCH FROM THE DEAD AND WOUNDED BECAME SO UNBEARABLE THAT A NINE HOUR TRUCE WAS ARRANGED FOR THE 19-05-24.
