Studio portrait upon which is written "Your Loving Son Kenneth, 9/11/16". On the verso is written "H.M.A.T "Benalla" A24, 9/11/1916". Probably a portrait of 30306 Driver (Dvr) Kenneth Thomas William Styles, 5th Brigade Australian Field Artillery, who embarked aboard the Benalla from Sydney on 9 November 1916. Dvr Styles died of wounds at Favremil, near Bapaume, aged 19 on 23 May 1917.
