Mixed Collection relating to donor's father: Sub Lieutenant James 'Jim' Henry White (PM/V33)
Description
Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) James Henry White DSC, RANVR. Lt White received the award for service aboard Royal Navy harbour defence motor launch 1372 (HDML 1372) during the period he was captain of the vessel in the Mediterranean Sea in 1944. He subsequently returned to Australia and served in New Guinea waters as captain of HDML 1354 (RAN) until 1946.
