'One jump ahead: yet another escape from Singapore'
Digital file containing 59 page typed manuscript titled 'One jump ahead: yet another escape from Singapore. Set down ten years after by Lieutenant AJ Mann, RNVR', describing the escape of survivors through Sumatra and Java to Fremantle. Also includes descriptions of the bombing and sinking of the SS Vyner Brooke in 1942. Originally written ten years after the event by Lt Arthur J Mann, who served with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, this version was typed from Mann's 90 page typed original by Beryl Nicholson and formatted by Harry Nicholson in January 2014. A hard copy version has been placed in this collection for Reading Room access.
