432537 Flight Sergeant (F Sgt) John Dennison Musgrove RAAF, 576 Squadron RAF, of Rose Bay, NSW, in the gun turret of an Avro Lancaster aircraft. F Sgt Musgrove enlisted in Sydney, NSW, on 22 October 1943 and trained in bombing and gunnery. He was part of the crew of an Avro Lancaster aircraft operating out of the United Kingdom and participated in bombing raids of major German cities. F Sgt Musgrove was commissioned as a Pilot Officer on 20 May 1945, eventually reaching the rank of Flying Officer before returning to Australia.
