Description

The Victorian Imperial contingent getting ready to leave their training camp at Langawarrin. The Imperial contingent embarked from Melbourne aboard the transport ship Victorian on 1 May 1900 to serve in South Africa. They returned to Australia aboard the Orient and arrived in Melbourne on 12 July 1901. This card forms one of a set of commercially produced stereo cards by the George Rose company.
