Description

A folded paper collage work, number 9 of 9, which utilises the image of a folded shirts created from overlapping US and Vietnamese currencies. Glen Clarke has exhibited widely throughout Australia and overseas. He has created a series of works related to his family history and personal experience in clearing land mines in Vietnam, with this body of work directly referencing thesee experiences. Glen Clarke (1954- ) studied visual and performing arts in the 1970s. His experimental works in various media were shown at the Mildura Sculpture Triennials in 1975 and 1978. More recently, he has worked as a painter, sculptor and lecturer. He won the National Sculpture Prize in 2005.
